Avatar 2 Box Office Predictions: $ 200 Million in the First Weekend

James Cameron’s Avatar 2 will be released on Friday, i.e. 16th December. Investors are relieved that the film will be released on schedule in China. Early signs point to a strong opening at the box-office. Let’s find out what the opening weekend forecasts are!

The prequel to the film, which was released in 2009 for the uninitiated, is available here. It was re-run multiple times and made $2.92 Billion at the box-office, making it the highest-grossing film ever. The film earned $250 million+ in China during its lifetime. It is expected that this number will soon surpass $250 million.

According to Sacnilk.com’s report, Avatar 2 is experiencing a strong response from Chinese advance bookings. The film’s advance ticket sales have brought in $12 million as of December 9. It is expected to make between $185 million and $205 million in its first weekend, which is more than what was projected for the opening in North America.

James Cameron asked people to stop complaining about Avatar 2’s length. The 68-year old director of Avatar 2 is releasing his eagerly awaited sequel. He doesn’t believe people should be complaining about the 3-hour-and-10-minute running time. Many TV viewers binge-watch the whole series in one sitting. We are open to the possibility. Empire magazine quoted him as saying, “I don’t want anyone complaining over the length of [television] viewing for eight hours.”

“I could write this section of the review. “Intensely long, three-hour film it is like, give me some time. Five one-hour episodes have been made by my children. Cameron stated that there must be a paradigm shift in society to allow people to use the bathroom.
